Sentinet3 works in different ways depending on the OS:
On Windows Server it works using WMI protocol without the need of agents
On Unix/Linux server agents are necessary
On network device SNMP protocol is used
WMI protocol on Windows Server is very powerful and Sentinet3 can send WMI commands to receive all the hardware and software inside a server.
Asset Management console gives a lot of informations like:
- New systems found in the last 3 day
- Systems missing for the last 3 days
- New software found
- New hardware found
- Hardware missing
Hardware Inventory gives the following information:
